Accountabilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines for integration, transformation, and analysis.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, ensuring high-quality code for data ingestion and transformation.
• Enhance efficiency and performance of data workflows using sophisticated techniques.
• Develop and maintain data models aligned with business requirements.
• Create APIs and microservices for seamless data integration across platforms.
• Optimize databases and queries for maximum performance.
• Mentor developers on standard methodologies and conduct peer programming and code reviews.
• Ensure compliance with data security regulations and implement validation techniques.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and supply to software development lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, collaborators, and product managers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Perform testing to ensure data solutions meet quality standards.
• Maintain clear documentation for knowledge base articles and deployment release notes.
• Diagnose and resolve sophisticated issues related to data pipelines and applications.
• Use cloud-based services for data storage and processing.
• Liaise with internal teams and third-party vendors to address application issues effectively.
• Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards for actionable insights.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in developing software engineering and data engineering solutions.
• Extensive experience with ELT/ETL tools such as SnapLogic, FiveTran, or similar.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, DBT (Data Build Tool), and similar data warehousing technologies.
• Proficient in designing and optimizing data models for large-scale systems.
• Solid understanding of data pipeline principles, including dimensional modeling and schema design.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh and Data Product concepts.
• Strong data orchestration skills for handling workflows.
• Proficiency in data visualization technologies like Power BI.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GitHub.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Automated testing frameworks (Unit Test, system integration testing, regression testing & data testing).
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Deep technical expertise in building software solutions with modern JavaScript stack (Node.js, ReactJS, AngularJS).
• Solid understanding of cloud-based services including AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, EBS, Lambda).
• Excellent communication skills for handling collaborator expectations.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in health sciences, Life Sciences, Data Management, Information Technology, or related field.
• Significant experience in the pharmaceuticals industry with understanding of industry-specific data requirements.
• Shown capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in large multinational organizations within pharmaceutical or similar environments.
• Certification in AWS Cloud or other relevant certifications.
• Awareness of GenAI tools available in the market.
• Solid understanding of basic prompting techniques.
