Job Description

 

The Sr. Technical Data Analyst focuses on building, automating, and optimizing technical processes for running Medicare Value-Based Care Program (MVBCP) analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a basic understanding of healthcare data, and a willingness to learn and grow in the value-based care domain.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Build and execute SAS programs to extract, load, and validate healthcare data

  • Maintain and update recurring reports and dashboards for operational and contract performance monitoring

  • Perform data validation and quality checks on incoming data sources

  • Support the creation and distribution of standard reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis requests using SAS/SQL

  • Document processes and procedures for recurring analytics processes

  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

  • Collaborate with data engineering partners to troubleshoot data issues

  • Provide technical support for the MVBC Analytics team in implementing new value-based care programs and maintaining current ones

Qualifications

  • Experience in data analysis or business intelligence

  • Proficiency in SAS 

  • Experience working with structured data and relational databases

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with healthcare data, particularly claims or electronic health record data

  • Familiarity with medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)

  • Basic understanding of value-based care concepts and healthcare quality metrics

  • Experience with Snowflake

  • Knowledge of data quality methodologies and validation techniques

  • Exposure to healthcare analytics or population health management

The salary range for this role is $82,500.00 to $110,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
