Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Data Analyst, you will be a critical contributor to Altera’s supply chain transformation. You’ll use advanced analytics and data science techniques to deliver actionable insights, forecast performance, and improve operational resilience. Your work will help shape how Altera manages demand planning, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and material flow across our global network.

This role is ideal for someone with deep data expertise, strong business acumen, and a passion for building scalable solutions in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Analyze large datasets across procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build statistical and machine learning models to support demand forecasting, capacity planning, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Create scalable dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to empower cross-functional decision-making.

Business Strategy & Partnership

  • Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, operations, and engineering teams to translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
  • Partner with leaders across Altera to align analytics strategies with long-term supply chain goals.
  • Support scenario modeling and strategic sourcing initiatives using advanced data tools and techniques.

Technology & Tools

  • Develop and maintain models and data pipelines using Python, SQL, R, and Power BI.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of analytics workflows, from data ingestion to decision support.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in data science, analytics, or supply chain strategy.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and advanced Excel; strong foundation in statistics and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts including sourcing, inventory management, demand planning, and logistics.
  • Experience with ERP and SCM systems, such as SAP.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to explain complex findings to business stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Operations Research, Data Science, Statistics, etc.).
  • Industry experience in semiconductors, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, supply chain risk modeling, or digital twin environments.
