RESILIENT MISSION AUTONOMY  

Our team in Reston, VA is adding a talented Senior Software Engineer with interests in autonomous systems, robotics, and/or machine learning. In this position, you will develop software and contribute ideas for technologies on a variety of topics such as autonomy, navigation, command and control, decision making, health monitoring and management, and simulation. You will be part of and lead dynamic and motivated teams that design and implement solutions for some of the most capable and advanced autonomous systems on or off the planet. Our team is dedicated to creating Resilient Mission Autonomy® by increasing the capability, reliability and longevity of autonomous vehicles.

Required Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics, mathematics, engineering, or other applicable field of study  
• At least 10 years of software programming and design experience   
• Object-oriented programming proficiency in Java, Python and/or C++  
• Ability to decompose features into development tasking for junior staff  
• Ability to manage deadlines on multiple projects and communicate with management if schedule slips occur 
• Ability to create requirements and seek out answers from team members and customers 
• US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information 

Desired Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in computer science, robotics, mathematics, engineering, or other applicable field of study 
• At least 2 years of relevant autonomous systems experience  
• Active Secret or higher clearance  
• Experience developing and testing code for applied research and operational capabilities 
• Experience using CI/CD and DevOps
