Position Summary

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Product Quality Data Analyst to join our After-Sales Market Quality team. In this role, you will monitor and analyze a wide range of quality-related data—from warranty claims to telematics and social media—to detect trends, identify quality concerns, and support initiatives that drive continuous product improvement and customer satisfaction. 

You will also design dashboards, manage business systems, and ensure seamless data integration to support fast, informed decisions across the organization. This role is ideal for a detail-driven analyst who excels at interpreting data from various sources and transforming insights into actionable strategies. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Monitor and analyze after-sales data from sources including warranty claims, CRM/customer support cases, telematics, infotainment logs, NHTSA reports, and OTA/software incidents. 
• Identify trends, anomalies, and emerging quality issues to support product improvement and customer satisfaction. 
• Design and maintain dashboards using Tableau and Microsoft Excel, including advanced Excel modeling and data visualization. 
• Develop data visualizations and monitoring tools for internal platforms and warranty systems. 
• Manage business systems related to quality improvement, claims analysis, and reimbursement tracking. 
• Maintain data integrity, control access permissions, and ensure reliable system integrations between internal and external tools. 
• Support development of automation tools and light IT solutions to improve operational efficiency. 
• Develop and optimize tools for market sentiment tracking using platforms such as Sprinklr. 
• Track and manage data field structures, usage rates, and coordinate system updates with IT teams. 
• Prepare reports and executive summaries highlighting product quality trends, KPIs, and strategic insights. 
• Represent market quality interests in cross-functional meetings and interdepartmental projects. 

Required Qualifications for Position: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent work experience. 
• 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, automotive quality, or related technical fields. 
• Advanced Excel user with strong modeling, pivot table, dashboarding, and data visualization skills. 
• Strong proficiency in Tableau, with experience building executive dashboards. 
• Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence). 
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, and experience working with telematics and infotainment log data. 
• Coding skills in Python and SQL; basic Java knowledge is a plus. 
• Understanding of warranty systems and post-sales quality operations. 

Preferred Qualifications for Position: 

• Experience analyzing OTA data, NHTSA reports, and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). 
• Familiarity with social listening tools like Sprinklr and using AI/ML techniques for trend analysis. 
• Background in EV, automotive, or mobility startup environments. 
• Experience with mobile application performance tracking and reporting. 

Additional Details 

• Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site in Culver City, CA, transitioning to Torrance, CA in Fall 2025. 
• Travel Requirements: Occasional domestic travel for quality investigations or system coordination. 
• Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this position.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $95,000- $105,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
