Data Science Internship

TomTom is seeking a talented and motivated data science intern to join our team for a six-month internship. The intern will be responsible for applying machine learning techniques to improve map operations.
As a data science intern at TomTom, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced data scientists, engineers and product managers to solve real-world problems using machine learning. You will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, feature engineering, model selection, and model evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the team to understand the requirements and goals of the project.
• Analyze large amounts of data to identify patterns and trends.
• Develop and implement machine learning models to improve map operations.
• Evaluate the performance of the models and suggest improvements.
• Communicate the findings and results to the team.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.
