Overview

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing wireframes and dashboards with an emphasis on user experience, consistency, and visibility. The role requires expertise in data visualization and analytics, with hands-on experience in business intelligence tools and Databricks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of Reports, dashboards, and data models Demonstrated ability to translate raw data into visually meaningful insights for decision-makers.
• Document report logic, data models, and analytical methodologies to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Build efficient queries to bring multiple dashboards into one semantic model
• Provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and contribute to strategy development based on analytical findings.
• Build robust data models and implement advanced DAX calculations to support business intelligence needs and decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to data sources, loading, and visualization logic across the program and other teams.
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize existing Power BI/Tableau/BO reports and dashboards to ensure continued alignment with business needs.
• Responsibilities will include maintaining and optimizing the Power BI infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing performance improvements

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required
• 5+ years of experience working with both Power BI and Tableau: Including hands-on development of: Reports, dashboards, and data models. Demonstrated ability to translate raw data into visually meaningful insights for decision-makers.
• 5+ years of experience working on large scale datasets and understanding data warehouse concepts and enterprise-level reporting strategies.
• Experience with Databricks platform.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns and anomalies in large datasets.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve performance and configuration issues in analytics environments.
• Experience with Power Query for data transformation and manipulation.
• Ability to build interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI service.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and python.
• Knowledge of access management, security configuration, and compliance within cloud environments.
• Knowledge on SAP HANA data models, Analytic views, Calculation views, CDS views.
