Data Analyst Intern

General Purpose:

The Data Analyst Intern supports data-driven decision-making by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to uncover insights. Responsibilities include creating visualizations, generating reports, and assisting with database queries to help teams optimize processes and strategies.

Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

• Collect, clean, and pre-process data from various sources to ensure data quality.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights using statistical tools and techniques.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations (using Excel, Power BI,...) to support business decision-making.
• Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines and databases.
• Collaborate with teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Technical Skills: Excel, SQL, Python/R (Pandas, NumPy), Tableau/Power BI, basic statistics.
• Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, communication, attention to detail.
• Experience: Data projects, coursework, or internships; data cleaning/visualization.
• Nice-to-Have: Big data tools (Hadoop, Spark), cloud platforms, basic ML.
