  What’s the role?

As a Senior Manager for Data Insights in our Business Lending Product team, you will be responsible for translating complex business requirements and delivering solutions back to the Product team, and contribute to the development and deployment of significant improvements through the application of Analytics practices.  This is achieved through structuring data to develop insights, enabling the business to resolve problems and drive strategic direction.  This role is also responsible for maintaining data integrity within the Business Lending security collateral registers.

Other key day to day responsibilities will include: 

• Gathering data using various data mining tools and techniques followed by translating them into data that is structured, reusable and provides insight capability to the wider team and business
• Designing, performing and overseeing key analytic tasks, testing results for sound recommendations
• Building, owning and continuously improving data logic, structure and visualisations to drive the shaping and delivery of performance metrics for Product
• Supporting the development of junior team members in a high performing and caring work environment
• Identifying new potential opportunities for advanced analytics within Product, raising these ideas to senior management  

What do I need?

• Strategic Thinker: Able to creatively structure and guide teams through complex challenges.
• Qualified Professional: Holds tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Technical Expert: Proficient in Python, Teradata SQL, ETL tools (BTEQ, MLOAD, FLOAD, FEXP), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Business Insight Leader: Experienced in building data solutions, dashboards (Tableau/Power BI), and financial models that support smart decision-making.
• Problem Solver & Collaborator: Strong analytical skills, effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams, and a champion of process improvement.
