About the role
Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join the team on 12 month fixed term contract. As the Data Governance Analyst, you'll drive and implement best-in-class information & data governance processes. You will integrate the delivery of the company wide Data Governance activities and operational business, technology and Data Governance inputs to generate comprehensive discoverable Data Governance reporting for senior oversight purposes.What you’ll be doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of:
- Maintaining a data catalogue for metadata management
- Defining naming guidelines for metadata and data definitions
- Managing triage and ownership of data
- Reporting on data governance and domains
- Coordinating and tracking domain engagement
- Onboarding and induction for new role holders
- Serving as the point of contact for risk controls related to data quality and governance
- Overseeing content for the Data Management Hub (SharePoint-based)
- Tracking review cycles for data assets, documents, standards, procedures, and policies
- Developing and managing data governance dashboards
- Being an advocate in key data topic areas such as Data Quality, Data Management and Stewardship and Ownership
- Building relationships with key stakeholders to understand their data landscape and their business priorities. Win stakeholders over by showing them “what's in it for them"
About you
- Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships
- Experience in data governance, data management and data quality
- Experience of business and technology issues related to the management of enterprise information and data assets
- Expert in translated complex to simple and data storytelling through packs, papers and business engagement
- Expert in being able to analyse and simplify multiple aspects of the business data processes and use of dedicated tooling
- Previous experience using Excel is key for your day-to-day responsibilities
- Experience using data governance tools
Interview process
The interview process for this role will be two stages consisting of competency and technical questions.
Working Schedule
The Data Governance Analyst role is a 12-month fixed term contract, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Our office is based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. Hybrid working is available where only 1-2 days a week is required in the office.
