THE POSITION:

The Research Analyst will be a member of the Corporate M&A team reporting directly to Associate – Corporate M&A and will be responsible for the following:

• Leading research initiatives that support Jonas-wide business development and M&A efforts
• Developing and maintaining reporting related to the M&A funnel, competitive landscape, and acquisition opportunities
• Prospecting and sampling technology tools that can drive business development efficiency
• Ad hoc data analytics and research requests
• Hiring and coaching corporate M&A co-op students

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors in Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
• 2 – 4 years of work experience in research, analytics, consulting, and/or other related fields
• Proficiency with the Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and market research tools like CrunchBase and CapIQ
• Bonus: experience with basic coding and data analytics/visualization (ex. SQL, Python, Tableau, Looker)
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and internal relationships across functional teams
• Strong understanding of the global software industry
