To thrive in this role, you must have a comprehensive understanding of data management system design and implementation and be enthusiastic about leading development of new paradigms for the cloud native data ecosystem.

Your Impact:

The information technology (IT) developers and data engineers will use your skills and procedures to support ingestion, storage and consumption of data. A variety of responsibilities are involved in this position, including collaborating with Stakeholders upstream and downstream from Nexus (Freddie Data Platform) to implement and craft sophisticated data services for their consumption and leading data engineers and data architects to solve technical problems. It is important that you are comfortable documenting requirements and providing guidance across teams, working closely with data architects and engineers to ensure their deliverables meet business requirements. This position will also ensure that the data solutions are innovative, global, functional, yet simple so that they deliver value to multiple business areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the enterprise data platform (Nexus) that includes multiple data ingestion, storage and consumption patterns

  • Support enterprise initiatives for Nexus solutions to meet their ingestion and consumption requirements

  • Ensure designed solutions are optimal and robust – research and identify likely issues during incubation stages – and meet data governance requirements

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies for enterprise data platform to meet different ingestion and consumption patterns

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to understand business requirements and communicate them to data architects, engineering and platform teams to develop optimum and robust solutions

  • Coordinate with management on issue identification, escalation and remediation

  • Assist with weekly and monthly metrics and reporting, and stakeholder meeting materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has 8-10 years related experience.

  • 8-10 years’ experience in data architecture, data engineering, data management and/or data science related projects in Financial Services industry – along with complimentary experience in collaborating with team members and working in a diverse workplace

  • Experience in gathering requirements, data modeling, designing and developing data-centric solutions

  • Strong understanding with experience in Cloud technologies such as Informatica (IDMC/IICS), Kafka, Dremio, GraphQL, AWS, Snowflake and MongoDB

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and effectively collaborate with stakeholders to influence outcomes

  • Ability to understand different perspectives

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $119,000 - $179,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
