About you as the Data Engineer
- Develop and implement new features for core systems leveraging our central data lakehouse.
- Automate critical data workflows and manual tasks to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering to support deployment processes and address infrastructure requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional technology teams to identify, understand,
- and fulfill infrastructure and data-related needs.
- Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required.
- Builds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions.
About you as the Data Engineer:
- 3 years of experience working with open-source databases.
- 3 years of experience working with ETL and related data pipeline technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science related field.
- Highly proficient in GitLab and automating GL pipelines.
- Prior experience in SQL and Python, Java and Scala experience is a plus.
- Demonstrable experience with cloud-based ETL tools, Spark on K8s or Databricks.
- Ability to manage data platforms with Terraform.
- Experience with distributed data stores, with demonstrable experience using data lakes and optimizing query performance.
- Deep understanding of data structures and schema design.
- Prior work with AWS or GCP ecosystems.
- Enjoy working in fast-paced, collaborative, Agile environments and the ability to adapt and learn quickly is a fundamental necessity.
