Strong brands. Innovative products. And a unique team! This is the Husqvarna Group, the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products for forestry, lawn and garden, and construction. Join us and use your creative ideas and enthusiasm to further advance our premium brands such as Husqvarna and Gardena. In exchange we will offer you the exceptional opportunity to develop our product portfolio, our company and, above all, your career. Discover the Husqvarna Group, achieve great results and experience a promising future.

Data-driven decisions are key for us. We are looking for a Data Engineer to improve our ability to set up process and data chains from source systems to KPIs and consuming systems.

You will be working on technical as well as organizational aspects within Gardena and the wider Husqvarna group, meaning a good balance of soft and technical skills is key.

There is a wide variety of tools and systems in use, so the ability to quickly adapt to new and changing environments is more important than in-depth knowledge in any one specific system/tool.

Your Tasks:

  • You will work in a cross-functional team that provides solutions and support for the full spectrum of data related issues

  • You develop, maintain and improve cloud based end-to-end data pipelines and applications

  • Your work will touch on aspects of (data) architecture, data analytics, data science/ML and data visualization as needed

  • You will translate business requirements and problems into data processes and take charge of planning and implementation within a complex environment

  • You will be expected to plan, present and argue the case for pragmatic solutions balancing governance issues, requirements, available resources, delivery timeline and long-term viability

You should have the following skills:

  • Degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, information technology or a related field and several years of professional experience in data engineering or adjacent fields

  • Proven experience in setting up and maintaining cloud based (Deep Azure and AWS knowledge is prefered) end-to-end data pipelines, possibly using tools like Azure Data Factory and dbt.

  • You are proficient in SQL and able to construct/profile complex queries and have some knowledge of data modeling. Experience with database/data processing platforms like Databricks, Snowflake or similar is needed

  • Experience in shell scripting, Python, DevOps, CI/CD (Azure DevOps) and IaC (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)

  • Knowledge of SAP data structures is an advantage and some knowledge with reporting systems like PowerBI is desirable

  • Very good written and spoken English skills are mandatory when working with other Husqvarna Group divisions

  • German language skills are an advantage when communicating with the business departments

  • You show a high amount of self-reliance and are willing to take charge of projects

  • You have good presentation skills and can adjust your message to different audiences; this includes being able to break down complex topics

  • You are willing to question and challenge existing structures while maintaining a solution-oriented way of working

The future:
Experience a dynamic and challenging environment. Bring your enthusiasm for innovation to a company that is simply different. And which - in addition to an open, team-oriented atmosphere - also has a lot to offer you in terms of your career
