The Data Product Manager is responsible for bridging the gap between technical teams and business
stakeholders by translating complex data into actionable insights. This role involves conducting in-depth
data analysis, gathering and documenting data requirements, and ensuring clear communication
between IT and business units. The Data Product Manager oversees the development and delivery of
data products, ensuring they align with business goals and strategic objectives. They also define and
monitor key performance indicators to measure product success, collaborate with cross-functional teams,
and stay updated on industry trends to drive innovation
Responsibilities:
• Drive the strategic roadmap and development of the Data Product team, aligning with long-term
business goals and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact data products.
• Coach and lead other Data Product Managers, providing guidance, oversight, and mentorship to
foster their professional growth and ensure successful project execution.
• Utilize deep industry knowledge to identify market opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and
drive product innovation that disrupts the insurance industry landscape. Influence industry trends
and shape the future of data-driven solutions.
• Contribute to shaping organizational strategy by leveraging industry insights and data product
innovations. Influence broader business goals and drive strategic initiatives across the company.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to define product vision, establish key performance
indicators (KPIs), and measure the success and impact of data products on business outcomes.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing data product team, promoting a culture of innovation,
collaboration, and continuous development.
• Stay ahead of emerging data product trends and technologies, actively participating in industry
conversations, and influencing the evolution of data-driven solutions within the insurance sector.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Human Resources Policy Guide
and follows departmental and functional area standards, rules, guidelines, processes, and policies
as identified by management.

Experience and Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related
experience
Experience:
• 7 – 9 years' experience or equivalent, related knowledge.
• Supervision Received: Receives minimal direction from senior leadership. Provides strategic
guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level data product managers.
• Decision Making: Makes independent decisions on product strategy, features, prioritization, and
roadmaps for complex data products. Significantly influences the overall data product vision and
direction across the organization.
• Client Contact: Regularly interacts with internal stakeholders (business analysts, data analysts, data
engineers, designers, developers, product managers, senior leadership) and external partners to
gather requirements, present data insights, champion product adoption, secure leadership buy-in for
strategic product initiatives, stay abreast of market trends, and influence industry conversations.
