Your Opportunity
As a Data Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data systems and pipelines utilizing AWS technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and seamless integration of data from various sources.This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories).
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, and Amazon S3
- Design and implement efficient data models and schemas optimized for AWS databases including SQLite3, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ElasticSearch
- Automate infrastructure management using AWS Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation and AWS CDK
- Optimize storage solutions, performance, and scalability for cloud-based database solutions
- Implement and manage data lakehouse architectures and optimize data storage formats such as Parquet
- Integrate AWS-based machine learning models and AI services into data pipelines
- Monitor data systems, perform troubleshooting, and ensure reliability using AWS CloudWatch and related services
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver AWS-driven data solutions

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience using AWS data services (Redshift, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, RDS)
- 3+ years experience building data pipelines and managing databases within AWS environments
- Proven expertise with AWS Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
- Proficiency with Linux environments for system administration and scripting tasks
What sets you apart
- Experience leveraging AWS machine learning tools such as SageMaker
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Familiarity with AWS security best practices and data privacy regulations
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Pay Range
