TTI is seeking an Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to join our team in tackling some of the Nation’s most complex national security challenges. We provide our clients with the ability to prioritize risk, find and shape opportunities, design and implement an action campaign, and quantitatively assess outcomes based on real world feedback. 


What you'll do

As an ORSA, your primary role will be to:

  • provide operations analysis support to our government client with a focus on Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), and emerging threats;
  • provide subject matter expertise in data mining, statistical analysis, causal analysis, and geospatial analysis;
  • manage and analyze large quantities of data, translate data into useful insights, and develop strategies and metrics to provide on-site tactical, operational, and strategic courses of action to senior leaders and decision makers;
  • provide leaders with actionable insights from data-driven analysis of operations, processes, and capabilities to identify trends, inform assessments of effectiveness, and mitigate risk;  
  • prepare and clearly communicate complex analyses in simplified terms via professional written evaluations and reports for senior leaders within the Agency; and
  • conduct analysis of complex problems and strategic level assessments, and support that analysis with theories, concepts, and principles to include statistical inference, data mining, computer modeling/simulation, and mathematical programming.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 9-12+ years of experience conducting Operations Research or Data Analytics
  • Experience in mathematics and statistics
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses at a level comprehensible to diverse military audiences and senior-level government representatives
  • Proficiency in research, analysis, critical thinking, effective communication (written and oral presentation)
  • Ability to work closely with key stakeholders to conduct research and analysis in collaboration with subject matter experts, planners, practitioners, and intelligence analysts
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Clearance Required: Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience conducting operations analysis in support of DoD, CCMDs or Services as military, government, and/or contractor support
  • Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Training or experience in Design Thinking
  • Experience in CWMD or Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense
