ASRC Federal is looking for an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer Team Lead to support their work with the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) G6 Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) at the Redstone Arsenal, AL. The AI Engineer Lead will be leading a team of about 15 people, supporting ACC by creating and utilizing AI/Machine Learning (AI/ML) for decision-making and data-driven insights, communication enhancement, project management, and workflow optimization. The team will be working with cross-functional teams that include data scientists, cybersecurity personnel, and /or domain experts. Key responsibilities will include:
• Assist the task order Program Manager with ensuring all work performed by the AI Team is performed according to the Performance Work Statement, turned in on time, with minimal to no errors.
• Working with the task order Program Manager to check certifications and training requirements of team members, including tracking when annual training is required, and ensuring all team members’ training is up to date
• Designing, developing, training, and optimizing machine learning models using relevant libraries
• Evaluating mode performance and iterating based on feedback
• Analyzing and preprocessing large datasets
• Deploying models on-premises environment.
• Implementing and fine-tuning AI/ML models for specific ACC use cases
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and use cases
Required Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• In depth experience with AI platforms, such as Palantir, Microsoft CoPilot, etc
Education and Experience Requirements:
• A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution
• At least 3 years of experience leading a similarly sized team
