Data Architect

This is a remote position.

They offer a combination of plug and play products that can be integrated with existing systems and processes and can also be customised to client needs. Their capabilities extend to big data engineering and bespoke software development, solutions are available as both cloud-based and hosted.

What you will be doing:

• Understand customer business needs and data environments through direct engagement.
  
• Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  
• Capture use cases and success criteria via workshops and interviews with stakeholders.
  
• Analyse complex data sets, schemas, and flows to assess integration needs.
  
• Collaborate with technical teams on data ingestion, transformation, and mapping processes.
  
• Validate data quality, completeness, and alignment with business requirements.
  
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and act as a liaison.
  
• Contribute to solution architecture, testing, and provide feedback for product improvements.
  

What our client is looking for:

• 5+ years in business or data analysis, with 2+ technical experience.
  
• Proven experience with data integration projects (ETL, data pipelines, APIs).
  
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling, and transformation (PostgreSQL, SQL Server preferred).
  
• Ability to translate technical concepts to business language and vice versa.
  
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Technical understanding of complex data sets with SQL and Excel proficiency.
  
• Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and software development lifecycle.
