- Designing and creating data models to effectively store and retrieve information.
- Developing and implementing the overall data infrastructure, including data warehousing and analytics systems.
- Establishing and enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Identify list of Data Items for conversion
- Identify Data attributes (fields) for each item
- Create/Update data templates
- Create/Update data load steps
- Implementing and managing data security measures to protect sensitive information
- Designing integrations between different data sources to create a unified view of data
- Work with other teams, including development, business, and data engineering to align data infrastructure and business needs
- Ensure adherence to data governance principles and standards
- Managing and organizing metadata to improve data discoverability and usability
- Leading, Planning and executing data migrations to new systems or platforms
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data systems and infrastructure
Skill and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role (5+ years)
- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience leading a team of 3 or more direct reports
- Familiarity with ETL tools and ELT frameworks for data transformation and loading
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and potentially other languages like Java or Scala.
- Experience with various database systems, including relational databases (SQL), NoSQL databases, and data warehousing solutions.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Ability to design and implement data models to support business needs.
- Understanding of data governance principles and security best practices.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, such as design patterns, version control, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate issues as required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed, organized, and results-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills
- Client facing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications - - Salesforce Certified Data Architect, Salesforce Administrator).
- Understanding of Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain Business processes is preferred but not required
- Certifications in Data Architecture, Cloud Computing, or Database Management.
- Experience with big data technologies and AI-driven data solutions.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
