Functional Responsibilities:
Assist in the execution of enterprise-wide programs by offering reliable and consistent data delivery.
Provide data expertise for cross-functional projects, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Contribute to the implementation of data governance practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Maintain a robust risk and control environment by supporting compliance with policies and identifying areas improvement.
Partner with product owners and technology teams to develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly data solutions.
Gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications that can be used to design and implement solutions to meet business objectives.
Update/create user and technical documentation procedure and manuals, operational support documentation.
Provide ongoing support to maintain operational stability of the Accudelta services and Transaction Costs Database data platform, including Columbia Threadneedle Investment website and Enhanced Client Regulatory Reporting.
Participate in efforts to decommission data feeds from legacy systems transferring to Data Lake, ensuring scalability and flexibility for future needs.
Provide support to business users on how to effectively access, navigate, and use data stored in Accudelta.
Oversee the implementation and monitoring of data quality checks to ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
Support transition of Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities to the production support team, ensuring minimal disruption.
Collaborate with the India-based support team to facilitate knowledge transfer and establish clear documentation for ongoing support.
People Leader responsibilities:
Monitor team performance, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Identify team development needs and provide training, mentorship, and career growth opportunities.
Monitor risks and capacity of team, including key person dependencies on knowledge, facilitating an environment for knowledge transfer.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to guide individual development.
Recognize achievements and provide coaching to help team members overcome challenges and improve performance
To be successful in this role you will have..
Understanding of the asset management industry, including familiarity with various asset types and the range of products offered by asset management firms.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, as well as with external partners when necessary.
Proven ability to influence decision-making processes at various levels within the organization.
Experience collaborating with Operations, Investment, and Distribution teams to gather and provide the necessary data to support their functions and objectives.
Skilled in collecting and interpreting user requirements from business stakeholders and product owners and translating them into clear data specifications for development.
Experience with key data systems such as Accudelta, AWS, Bloomberg, Transaction Cost Database, with an intermediate to advanced level of expertise, or a willingness to learn.
Experience in testing large data sets and collaborating with the testing team to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Comfortable working with SQL, or willingness to quickly develop SQL skills as needed.
Experience managing teams, setting performance goals, providing coaching, and fostering professional growth.
Ability to foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members.
