Huntsman is seeking a Data Analyst supporting the Procurement Planning and Performance Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica . This position will report to PUR Purchasing – Americas.

We’re currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the Procurement organization in Huntsman KL office located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is interested in joining a growing organization within the company and helping to establish the patterns and practices of the team.  The role is integral in assisting to develop and supporting multiple departments in the company along the journey of data analytics, visualizations, robotics process automation, machine learning and more.  This is a growth role on projects/matters of limited complexity and closely managed.

In summary, as the Data Analyst, you will:  

• Apply knowledge of statistics, data visualization & modeling, machine learning and programming to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, test business hypotheses, and make valuable discoveries leading to operational savings or growth.
• Design, build & deploy scalable, repeatable, and simple data solutions.
• Assist with delivering informative and effective actionable insights, findings, results, and recommendations from statistical analysis to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist with translation of business objectives and priorities to help build a strategic analysis.
• Develop presentations around insights that can be understood by a variety of audiences - strategic, tactical, operational; and across functions - commercial, operations, finance, etc.
• Collaborate across teams to solve challenging, high-value analytical problems.
• Provide data related trainings & support to Procurement teams.
• Review existing data infrastructures (i.e. power BI reports, master data, hierarchies) system, process & reports; Propose, implement & deploy improvements
• Know or learn about Procurement systems & processes
• Partner with key business areas to translate insights into solutions that can be validated and implemented

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent/related degree.
• 2+ years of experience with data visualization
• 1+ years of related experience as a Procurement Data Analyst
• 2+ years of databricks
• Intermediate Excel and SAP experience is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of statistics & willingness to learn new data technologies
• Programming experience such as SQL, VBA, R, or Python is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Power BI (or similar tool) and SAP Webi (or similar tool)
• Knack for automation
• A good understanding of data visualization tools and database interfaces.
