Position Title: Senior Data Scientist

 

Location: Remote - ColombiaWhat you will be doing:The Data Scientist, you will own the end-to-end process of modeling and delivering machine learning solutions that align with client goals. You will play a client-facing role and be responsible for translating business needs into data science strategies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Client Collaboration: Lead conversations with business stakeholders to gather domain insights, define key data requirements, and identify actionable KPIs.
• Modeling Strategy: Own the decision-making process on modeling approaches, evaluation metrics, and techniques for ensuring business relevance.
• Model Development: Build, test, and refine models using regression, supervised learning (e.g., XGBoost), anomaly detection, and time series modeling.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard tools such as Scikit-learn, Keras, and PyTorch, and manage models via MLflow and Databricks.
• Communication of Insights: Communicate model architecture, performance metrics, and business impact to non-technical stakeholders.
• Business Impact: Continuously align modeling outcomes with business goals to ensure tangible results and drive value for clients.

 

Requirements & QualificationsTo excel in this role, you should possess:

• Strong proficiency in ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch
• Hands-on experience with MLflow and Databricks for model management
• Expertise in regression, supervised learning (e.g., XGBoost), anomaly detection, and time series modeling
• Proven ability to distill complex model results for non-technical audiences
• Experience leading client conversations to define domain context, business goals, and appropriate modeling strategies
• Ability to independently select and defend modeling approaches and evaluation metrics in a business context
