Open your free bank account in minutes.We’re looking for a Quantitative Risk Associate to help shape and maintain our risk measurement methodologies across credit, market, liquidity, and non-financial risks. You’ll play a key role in designing and interpreting stress tests, driving cross-functional risk projects, and ensuring our frameworks meet evolving regulatory standards.
You’ll also contribute to the development of our Python-based risk tools, including automating processes, integrating new data sources, and supporting audit-proof testing and documentation. This is a hands-on role offering the chance to apply your technical skills, deepen your regulatory expertise, and drive meaningful impact within a high-performing risk function.
In this role you will:

Support in the further development and maintenance of our risk measurement methodologies for credit, market, liquidity and non-financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. MaRisk, EBA)

Assist in the stress testing framework, including scenario design, model logic, and result interpretation

Become a key contributor to our Python-based risk tool by finding ways to automate existing processes and reportings, integrating new data sources and assisting with audit-proof testing and documentation

Collaborate with other teams and departments to further improve data quality

Ensure transparent, audit-proof documentation of all methodological components

Support internal and external audits

Provide methodological expertise in cross-functional risk-related projects
What you need to be successful:
Background
-
Quantitative academic background: Master’s in statistics, mathematics, business/economics, or a similar field with a quantitative focus.

First practical experience in risk controlling or a related field is a plus.
Skills
-
Methodological proficiency: Prior knowledge of Pillar II models (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk), the overall ICAAP and/or IRRBB is a strong plus

Technical experience: Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel and Python including libraries for quantitative modeling (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas).

Prior knowledge in (stochastic) modelling (e.g. option pricing, VaR, Monte-Carlo simulation) is a strong plus

Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and solution-driven approach to challenges.

Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with attention to detail

Hands-on mentality and eagerness to tackle new topics while demonstrating a quick grasp in conceptual project work and strategic thinking

Fluent in English, German is a plus
