Position Overview

As a AI Engineer at XTEL, you will spearhead technological innovations, crafting and optimizing Python code and APIs to enhance our Generative AI offerings. Lead product development and mentor teams to ensure excellence and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

As a AI engineer at XTEL, you will:

• Develop and maintain high-quality Python code using Python and its API frameworks.
• Design and implement Restful APIs that serve Generative AI modules to third parties.
• Optimize flows and actions manage-able through LLM powered agents.
• Lead and contribute to product development, following SOLID principles and software design patterns to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers, promoting high standards of code quality and teamwork.
• Engage in technical discussions on system architecture, design improvements, and feature implementations.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in Python, scientific computing, and performance optimization, sharing insights with the team.

Qualifications

A great candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar relevant field.
• At least 6 years of experience with Python.
• Experience in building scalable production solutions with Python.
• Experience in product development, including SOLID principles, design patterns, Git, and Scrum.
• Knowledge of machine learning and/or operational research (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in building LLM powered chatbots or agents.

Location Preferences:

Our headquarters is located in Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, and we offer hybrid work arrangements. While we prioritize candidates who are based in Bologna and the surrounding areas for hybrid work, we are open to considering other options on a case-by-case basis.
