Sr. Data & Insights Analyst - Brampton (1 Year Contract)
The Health Data Products & Services (HDPS) team at Loblaw is seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our data science team. We are dedicated to leveraging the power of data to improve the health and well-being of Canadians.
Reporting to the Director, Healthcare Data Science, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing objective, value-added analytics and insights reports to facilitate discussions & decisions related to clinical and health outcomes initiatives with the Pharmacy and Health & Wellness teams.
Your work will directly impact the lives of millions of people by enabling more accessible healthcare services by empowering healthcare practitioners in our network.
What You'll Do:
Work with the Pharmacy and Wellness teams to develop concise and actionable business recommendations, including the development of business and customer performance KPIs and methodologies for measuring health outcomes
Support marketing and digital teams on ad-hoc analysis and leverage customer data to deliver meaningful insights to drive business strategy
Collect, curate and analyze large amount of data from multiple sources
Perform detailed analyses to interpret information and draw conclusions/ insights accurately
Data visualizations: Build dashboards & performance reports
Prepare and present business-ready slides for senior management, including senior executives, based on analysis findings
Take ownership of the development and implementation of complex Data projects, and constantly manage business communications
Collaborate closely with data scientists to build and extract appropriate and accurate datasets to support their modeling and analyses work
Ensure data accuracy, privacy, completeness and quality, and swiftly document issues with data
What You'll Need:
University degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
Proven industry experience as a data analyst, ideally in healthcare, generating actionable business insights from data and telling stories from complex data.
Hands-on experience using Python, Pandas, and Matplotlib to generate insights and plots
Strong experience in building dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Google Data Studio
Proficient in SQL and query optimization
Knowledge of Cloud tools such as Google GCP, BigQuery, and Git (Gitlab or Github) is an asset
Knowledge of statistics and AB testing is a plus
Ability to synthesize large amount of data into insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas in a concise manner
Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint to create exceptional presentations
