Summary


Anaconda is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Manager, Technical Program Management to lead the execution of complex, cross-functional technology programs that power innovation in AI, machine learning, and data science. This senior leadership role requires deep program management acumen, strong technical literacy, and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, PI Planning, and industry-standard program management tools.


You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to drive visibility, alignment, and delivery excellence across Anaconda’s strategic initiatives.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) executing complex, cross-functional programs aligned with business goals.
  • Drive Agile practices including Program Increment (PI) Planning, backlog grooming, iteration reviews, and dependency management across multiple teams.
  • Translate business priorities into program roadmaps, technical execution plans, and delivery milestones.
  • Partner with engineering and product leadership to ensure technical solutions align with architectural standards and product vision.
  • Own the full lifecycle of programs: planning, execution, governance, monitoring, and risk mitigation.
  • Implement and optimize program management tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, Asana) to increase transparency, traceability, and reporting.
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning to support scalable delivery.
  • Provide structured, executive-level reporting on program health, including KPIs, delivery status, risks, and escalations.
  • Cultivate a TPM center of excellence by sharing best practices, tools, and continuous improvement strategies.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, with at least 3 years in a people management or senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, cross-functional technical programs within fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and SAFe.
  • Experience with PI Planning and agile portfolio management frameworks.
  • Proficiency with project and program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Asana, Smartsheet).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of aligning execution with company objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

The US base salary range for this role is $ 111,500 - $207,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.


Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
