Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a visionary and skilled colleague to join our Digitalization & Data Management team. You will take ownership of the architecture and capabilities of our enterprise data platform and ensure it evolves with business needs and technological advancements. You will shape our data landscape, drive innovation and ensure architectural integrity across all data initiatives.

Your tasks

  • Own the Architecture: Take full ownership of the data platform architecture, ensuring it aligns with business goals and IT strategy
  • Develop Capabilities: Systematically enhance the platform’s core capabilities to meet evolving business requirements
  • Manage Tools: Evaluate, introduce and manage tools and technologies that support the data platform ecosystem
  • Document Components: Ensure comprehensive documentation of all architectural components and their interconnections
  • Understand the Big Picture: Maintain a deep understanding of the overall data architecture and how individual components integrate
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Serve as the go-to expert for data platform-related topics, offering guidance across teams and projects
  • Represent in Projects: Advocate for architectural standards and data principles in cross-functional projects
  • Design Solutions: Ensure that solution designs are consistent with architectural guidelines and data governance principles
  • Collaborate Externally: Work closely with external solution architects and delivery managers to align implementation strategies
  • Support Implementation: Assist external partners in integrating and deploying solutions within the platform
  • Promote Innovation: Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and best practices within the data platform domain

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field – HTL/FH/TU
  • Several years of experience in data architecture, platform engineering or enterprise IT architecture
  • Strong knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks), cloud architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and data integration patterns
  • Familiarity with data governance, data modeling and metadata management
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration frameworks
  • Experience in setting up and leading virtual organizations or communities
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices
  • Fluent in German and English

Your profile matters!

Based on your qualifications, professional experience, and the tasks that await you, we will agree on your actual salary. Your minimum salary starts at € 4.270 gross per month (14 x p.a.) based on full-time employment (38,5 hours per week). Depending on your specific professional experience, there is a corresponding willingness to overpay.
