As a Data Scientist, you will turn complex business questions into actionable insights using machine learning and advanced analytics. You’ll work on high-impact forecasting, risk prediction, and trend analysis across Philips’ internal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI/ML models for forecasting, classification, and clustering
• Collaborate with the Business Analyst to understand business needs and translate them into models
• Validate and tune models for accuracy, fairness, and interpretability
• Communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Work closely with the AI Engineer to operationalize model outputs

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data science, applied ML, or analytics
• Strong Python skills (Pandas, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Experience with time-series forecasting and classification models
• Knowledge of model evaluation, explainability, and bias mitigation

Example Use Cases You’ll Support:

• Financial & Budget Forecasting: Predict cost trends, budget variances, and spending risks across business units.
• Implementation Risk Modeling: Flag customer delivery projects at risk of delay based on historical patterns and scope changes.
• Vendor Performance Scoring: Identify high- and low-performing vendors by analyzing delivery quality, cost, and reliability.
• Anomaly & Trend Detection: Surface unexpected shifts in KPIs (e.g., spend, delivery timelines, resource use) to support proactive decision-making.
