JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of EMS is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Rock Mechanics Lab Biaxial Testing Machine Operator

.

Job duties to include:

• Operate the biaxial testing machine under digital and analog servo control
• Conduct friction experiments and tests to investigate fluid induced seismicity
• Operate the true triaxial pressure vessel under control pore fluid conditions

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

• PhD in Rock Mechanics
• Knowledge of servo control with digital input signals
• Python scripting for data reduction and analysis
