Role Description
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA Associate with strong experience in test automation, BDD using Java, cloud-native testing, and data quality validation.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure product quality, data integrity, and reliability across both traditional and cloud-native environments.
- You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, data engineers, and other QA team members to drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Your Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and automation frameworks.
- Implement BDD test scenarios using tools like Cucumber or JBehave.
- Execute manual and automated test cases and analyze results.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to test strategy and planning.
- Perform regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Maintain and enhance the automation framework as needed.
- Design and execute tests for cloud-native applications deployed on platforms like Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
- Use cloud-based testing tools and services for scalability and reliability.
- Perform data quality checks to validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness across systems.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define and implement data validation rules and automated data quality tests.
Your Skills and experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in QA automation and software testing.
- Proficiency in Java for test automation and BDD scenario creation.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber or other BDD frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Maven.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud-native testing tools like TestContainers, K6, or cloud-based Selenium grids.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and service mesh testing.
- Experience with data validation tools and frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Deequ, dbt tests).
- Knowledge of SQL and experience validating data pipelines and ETL processes.
