Were Looking For a Senior Cloud Database Engineer

Were seeking a Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join a high-impact, long-term project for one of the most innovative fintech companies in the region. This is a strategic role where youll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based database environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.

Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams and help evolve a robust infrastructure that supports mission-critical services. Were especially interested in professionals with multi-cloud experience and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

What Youll Be Doing

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud database environments ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.

• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to deliver secure and scalable database solutions.

• Optimize SQL queries and database operations (PL/SQL, Bash scripting) for performance and efficiency.

• Manage database security and scalability using tools like Datadog, Vault, and BeyondTrust.

• Monitor production environments and troubleshoot incidents to ensure service continuity and data integrity.

• Contribute to process automation using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and GitLab.

• Take part in agile planning and task management using Jira.

What You Bring

• Proven experience with cloud-native databases such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Elasticache, Azure SQL Database, and Oracle Database in cloud environments.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and database design, especially in large-scale and high-complexity projects.

• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.

• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.

• Strong command of GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams using agile methodologies.
