Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics is a key leadership role responsible for modernizing and managing Fogo de Chão’s enterprise data infrastructure. This role leads the strategic transformation of our data platform, transitioning from legacy systems to a modern, cloud-native architecture. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, project management, and leadership capabilities to deliver impactful data solutions that support business performance, analytics, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of a scalable, cloud-native enterprise data platform
  • Maintain and optimize mission-critical legacy data systems including SQL Server and/or Essbase
  • Manage third-party vendors and external contractors to ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
  • Develop, document, and enforce data governance and security policies
  • Collaborate with business leaders to define data needs and deliver operational analytics, dashboards, and reports
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of business intelligence and data systems
  • Support CI/CD integration for data pipelines and analytics workflows
  • Serve as a hands-on contributor, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership to team members

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform leadership
  • Strong experience with Snowflake, Azure, dbt, Fivetran, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Expertise in SQL, SQL Server, and/or Essbase
  • Experience managing contractors and external technology partners
  • Preferred industry experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with modern data stack tools:
  • Snowflake, Azure, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow (or Azure Data Factory)
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling capabilities
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Comfortable working in Git-based environments with CI/CD workflows
  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting systems and data governance frameworks

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to occasionally travel for on-site collaboration or vendor management
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
