We are seeking a highly skilled BI Engineer to join our team in a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights. 

This role is critical in ensuring the success of our data architecture in Azure, as well as in governing, managing, and maintaining high data quality standards. 

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain BI solutions including dashboards, reports, and data models. 

This position requires a blend of technical skills, analytical thinking, and business intelligence to ensure that data-driven decisions are supported across the organization. While offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic, data-driven environment, providing impactful insights that drive organizational success.

This is a hybrid position based in Orlando, FL. While remote work is supported, candidates must reside locally and be able to commute to the Orlando office at least two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

BI Solution Development and Maintenance

• Develop and maintain BI solutions to support business objectives and decision-making.
• Create and optimize dashboards, reports, and visualizations for different business units.
• Improve the efficiency of dashboards and visualizations by leveraging tool-specific features (e.g., MicroStrategy Intelligent Cubes)

Data Analysis and Insights

• Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns and insights that support business decisions.
• Perform deep dives into datasets to answer specific business questions.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirement Gathering

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide training and guidance to users on BI tools and best practices.

Data Integration and ETL

• Perform data extractions, transformation, and loading (ETL) to support data pipelines.
• Data integration from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) is unified into a single, reliable source of truth for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineer to ensure seamless integration.

Data Integrity and Accuracy

• Maintain data integrity, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Ensure reporting accuracy by validating data and troubleshooting discrepancies.

Performance Optimization

• Optimize the performance of reports, dashboards, and queries ensuring timely and efficient data access for end-users.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in reports and queries.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or related (a plus).

Experience:

• Designing and implementing BI solutions, including hands-on development of reports and dashboards.
• With Agile development methodologies.
• Proven track record of delivering business insights and impactful data-driven recommendations.
• Proven experience with Azure data services.

Technical Skills: At least 4 years’ experience in the following

• In database design and data warehousing.
• ETL processes and tools like MicroStrategy, Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
• In SQL and other database query languages.
• With big data technologies and cloud computing.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality management principles.
• In data warehousing concepts, such as star schema, snowflake schema, and OLAP
• Understanding of the BI tool architecture (e.g., MicroStrategy schema design)
• Proficiency in MicroStrategy Desktop, Web, and Architect tools.
• Cloud platforms like Azure for data analytics.
• Advance SQL optimization skills.
• In scripting or programming skills in Python, R, or DAX.

Analytical Skills: At least 4 years’ experience in the following…

• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• In data modeling and analysis techniques.
• With statistical and predictive analytics methodologies.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications are a plus: BI Tool, or Cloud, or Analytics
• MS Certification BI Data
• Azure Data Engineer or AWS Certified Data Analytics
• BI Professional (CBIP)
