ECS is seeking an ARPA-H GenAI Developer to work in our Remote office.  Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

 

Are you a passionate Generative AI expert ready to support the leading edge of scientific and healthcare advancements in the Federal Government today?

ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H—enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation’s healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas.  As a Generative AI Developer, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Office of Information Technology and Data Innovation (ITDI).

What you will do:

Serve as AI/ML Expert:

  • Lead the ideation/conceptualization, development, deployment, overall strategy, and oversight of multiple programs utilizing generative AI, including large language modelling, statistical methodology, and medical applications.
  • Utilize your in-depth generative AI and machine learning (e.g., neural networks, training methods, addresses bias) knowledge and skills to assist ARPA-H in shaping future programs and manage the delivery of multiple disparate performer team.
  • Lead project management for the development, testing, and deployment of enterprise AI/ML application solutions.

Analyze and interpret complex data:

  • Analyze and interpret complex internal data to uncover actionable insights, informing ARPA-H leadership on opportunities to enhance agency-wide data strategy and innovation initiatives.
  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to evaluate data innovation projects, supporting program development and optimizing cross-agency data utilization efforts.

Stay current with scientific advancements:

  • Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
  • Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
  • Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.

Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:

  • Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
  • Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000

Qualifications
  • Masters in Computer Science or related scientific field.
  • 8 years minimum AI/ML experience
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
