Job Description

About the role

As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our business needs and technology solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse business problems, business processes, gather requirements, and propose solutions to address various business challenges and opportunities. You will lead by example by embracing the Agile principles and BA Best Practices and will provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.  

We are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic about occasional in-office collaboration. This role provides a unique opportunity to connect directly with our stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships and enhancing relationships.

  • Collaborate within a cross-function digital team, including Product Management, Engineering and Design.
  • Bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, driving impactful changes.
  • Utilise strong analytical skills to propose, document, and deliver solutions.
  • Define concise, end-to-end user stories for frontend and backend development in an agile environment.
  • Conduct and document detailed analysis, facilitate requirements elicitation activities to identify business requirement and translate into user stories.
  • Analyse and map our platform data to AOL across all of our Lenders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams (Engineering, Product, Design, QA) in remote and on-site settings.
  • Provide BAU support, including helpdesk ticket resolution.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven end-to-end Business Analyst experience (2 years) within Agile Scrum
  • Data integrations experience/knowledge is essential.
  • Experience in the use of JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, track progress, and facilitate collaborative documentation across agile teams.
  • Able to work autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Nextgen ApplyOnline platform (preferred)
  • Familiarity with XML, comfortable with reading and understanding technical documentation (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of the home loan application lifecycle, with a focus on lending-specific requirements (preferred)
