Senior Software Engineer

In the Merchant Lifecycle segment of Vipps MobilePay we aim to simplify the merchant experience. We want to be as loved by businesses as we are by private users!

Now, we're seeking a talented developer to join our small and relatively new team where we use machine learning and our treasure trove of data generated from 1.1 billion transactions to create new value propositions to our merchants and improve our own internal processes.

You will be working in a central part of Vipps MobilePay where the focus is making a world class experience for both our merchants and the teams within Vipps MobilePay who work with merchants.

We are looking for an all-round, experienced developer with a flexible and pragmatic mindset. You will be working on many different things, creating APIs so other teams can integrate our models, creating data and model training pipelines, setting up infrastructure and dev-ops.

About you:

• You are passionate yet pragmatic about your code, you know when to strive for perfection and when good is good enough.
• You are curious and inquisitive, you like poking at things to figure out how they work or reaching out to other teams to find what you need.
• You enjoy working in a team, writing code with you fellow team members in mind and you know you can learn from everyone around you.
• Experience writing and deploying services and APIs in Kubernetes
• Solid programming skills. We use Python, .Net and SQL
• Good communication skills and fluent in English.

We will be paying extra attention if you have experience with any of the following:

• Provisioning and securing infrastructure in Azure
• Working with big data and pipelines, especially in Databricks
• Deployment of machine learning models
