Power BI Developer, People Analytics

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to join the People Analytics team at Manulife. In this role, you will leverage your Power BI expertise to design, develop, and maintain compelling dashboards and reports that drive business insights. Your day-to-day tasks will include crafting visually engaging data visualizations, optimizing back-end processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable analytics. Your strong understanding of the Power BI ecosystem will be vital in ensuring data accuracy and efficiency in our reporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualization solutions.
• Optimize back-end data models and processes to enhance the performance and scalability of Power BI solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and support in troubleshooting and resolving Power BI-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve our analytics capabilities.

What we are looking for

• 3-5 years of experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports with strong visualization skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI back-end setup, including data modeling and DAX.
• Intermediate to Advanced expertise with relational databases.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into impactful data visualizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
