Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d)

Starting date: As soon as possible
Yearly Salary: €70,000 - €75,000 (fixed range, annual gross)

Equity: Part-time: €20,000 - €40,000 in company shares

Benefits: Up to €5,000 annually
Work model: Full-time, Hybrid in Munich or remote in Germany

Travel: Occasional travel to Munich is required

Your role

You build the mind of our AI-powered MRI solution. You implement state-of-the-art machine learning methods and apply statistical expertise to analyze MRI data quickly and accurately. You generate data insights to guide our product development and work closely with MRI scientists and ML engineers to produce a fast and reliable prediction for every data point.

By leveraging your love for data and excellent problem-solving skills, you give intelligence to our MRI machines.

Your day to day

In your daily activities, you will:

  • Design and implement strategies in data science and machine learning to solve novel computer vision challenges in MRI image analysis.

  • Collaborate with fellow scientists and engineers as well as product and business colleagues and teams to leverage multidisciplinary knowledge and deliver real impact.

  • Visualize data and perform statistical analysis of model performance in development and production.

  • Train machine learning models, tune and analyze their performance.

  • Grow the algorithmic know-how of the AI team, staying abreast of the latest developments in machine learning research and industry.

  • Mentor the team in adopting a hypothesis- and data-driven approach across AI developments.

Data fluency

  • You have strong statistical and data analysis foundations and practical experience.

  • You value data visualization and create illustrations to explain phenomena in the data to diverse audiences.

Machine learning

  • You have a strong command and deep understanding of various machine learning approaches and concepts.

  • You are proficient with Python and PyTorch, with a disciplined approach to software development, including version control and clean code practices.

  • You bring extensive experience in developing machine learning models and utilizing experiment tracking software.

  • You are passionate about continuous learning and keep up with the latest trends in machine learning and statistical analysis.

What makes you stand out from other candidates

  • You applied machine learning to 3D data and understand its unique challenges and complexities.

  • You have hands-on expertise in working with MRI data, including raw k-space data and various MRI-specific data formats.

  • You have machine learning experience in accelerating and processing MRI images, as well as experience in other imaging modalities and sensor fusion approaches.
