And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

Salesforce AI Research advances AI technology that paves the path for new research directions, innovative products, and applications with a positive impact on society. Our team of researchers, engineers, and product managers drive enterprise AI transformation through foundational research, customer incubation, and product innovation. We empower humans and agents to drive customer success together using trusted and responsible AI.

The AI Research Program Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations supporting a wide range of deliverables for the ops team and office of the Chief Scientist.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work autonomously, communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders, and be well-organized with very high attention to detail. • Ethics and Security Management: work with partners in ethics and security to ensure compliance and understanding of all ethical and security requirements in the research process- sometimes building out these processes from scratch. Become the main point of contact between the AI Research team and the Security Team + Office of Ethical and Humane Use. Run meetings and report updates to leadership.

  • Procurement Management: set up new vendors, manage contract negotiations, open POs and understand how all purchases relate to our overall organizational goals.

  • Organize & Present at Team Meetings: content and logistics planning for All Hands, Leadership Offsites, budget meetings, team meetings and V2MOM reviews. Present topics and lead sessions for areas you own.

  • Industry Partnerships: Work with research leads to identify how and which external engagements can best deliver on the Research team’s goals through various industry partnerships

  • Maintain Operational Excellence: through deep understanding of Salesforce policies and procedures for program execution and management including legal, ethics, security, procurement, finance, events and public relations. Work with leadership to write V2MOM and ensure quarterly updates for each method.

  • Win as a Team: work closely with other members of the operations team on large scale projects and be willing to jump in wherever needed to support all ops team deliverables

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 6+ years of project/program management experience

  • Proven record of delivering sophisticated projects and programs with large teams across multiple departments, functions, and geographies

  • Ability to create and manage project plans, monitor and review project progress and timelines, adjust schedules and plans as needed, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.
