Data Operations - Index and Fund Portfolios

Your Team Responsibilities

The Index & Fund Portfolios team is a key part of the Data Operations and Technology department. Our team addresses complex challenges across all aspects of data operations, enhances critical product features by developing innovative analytics capabilities, and delivers outstanding service to a diverse range of clients. We provide services to all major MSCI product lines, including Index, Analytics, Sustainability, and Real Assets with team members located across the globe, including the US, Mexico, Hungary, and the Philippines.

We are currently seeking a Data Operations Associate to join our dynamic and collaborative team of data professionals in our Manila office. Candidates with experience in data operations, index and fund portfolios, time series analysis, or reference data are encouraged to apply.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily portfolio data processing
• Investigate incidents during index / fund data production
• Create business specifications and cooperate with IT on their execution and implementation
• Provide the operations and other functional teams with the comprehensive knowledgebase about finished projects and promoted solutions
• Be involved with internal tool development, data visualization and automatic report generation
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with emphasis on quality and accuracy
• Assist our Sales and Client Relations Group in resolving client inquiries related to our content
• Assist senior management with regular and ad-hoc reporting on client requests, status reports
• Work closely with our global data update teams and global data vendors

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

• BS / BA / MSc in Finance, or any high-level education in a related field (such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other STEM disciplines) with some exposure to finance
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrated strong interest in the Financial / Capital Markets and data management
• Working Knowledge of SQL (ability to query and manipulate data effectively)
• Strong Excel skills 
• At least 2 years of work experience in a related industry
