Job Description

• Assoicate Data Engineer As a Assoicate Data Engineer you will be responsible for specializing in developing reports using MicroStrategy and Power BI on the latest Cloud Data Warehouses including Snowflake and GCP and also will be responsible for writing the SQL's and be able to Optimize the SQLs.
• Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager, you will be part of the Product & Technology who develop the SQLs and build Power BI and MicroStrategy reports with complex data Models and transformations. 
• What you will do
•  Develop the SQL's as per business requirements.
•  Develop and optimize MicroStrategy and Power BI Reports with Complex data models and DAX transformations.
• To develop reports from multiple data sources including APIs, csv files, relational and non-relational databases, cloud storage buckets including S3 and GCP 
•  Collaborate with other teams within the organization and be able to devise the technical solution as it relates to the business & technical requirements will be expected to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of reporting dashboards 
•  Maintain documentation for all processes implemented  
•  Adhere to and suggest improvements to coding standards, best practices, and contribute to the improvement of these best practice.

Qualifications

• Data Engineer having developed reports dealing with large volume data on several TB-sized data structures in traditional normalised data warehouses like Teradata & Oracle and cloud Big Data warehouses like Big Query & Snowflake 
• Extensive knowledge of multi-tier, high availability, Google cloud and on-premise data engineering solutions in a complex multi-cloud, multi-enterprise environment 
• Strong Data Modelling experience 
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, Tabular Editor and DAX Studio  
• Best practices for Power BI and MicroStrategy   
• DAX, Power Query and Dataflows 
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL and ability to write performance-optimised queries. 
• Essential ability and interest in understanding data from a business perspective. 
• Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and other reports developers across the group.
