Job Description

As a Junior Data Scientist in the Financial Forecasting team at Wix, you’ll help shape how we forecast revenue across the company. Your models will support everything from day-to-day business planning to quarterly earnings reports. You’ll work closely with analysts and stakeholders, owning models end-to-end and constantly looking for ways to improve business outcomes using data. In your day-to-day, you will:

• Take ownership of one or more revenue forecasting models and continuously adapt them to reflect business and product changes 

• Monitor and improve model performance to ensure accurate and reliable forecasts 

• Ensure automated model pipelines are running smoothly and optimize them for efficiency and stability 

• Build new models to support and reflect Wix’s growing and evolving revenue streams 

• Collaborate with analysts to explore data to identify opportunities to improve monetization and overall business performance

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining data science models in Python 

• Experience working with production-level machine learning pipelines 

• Strong analytical and business thinking 

• Comfortable working in an evolving environment and collaborating with business stakeholders 

• Curiosity, ownership mindset, and ability to independently drive projects forward 

• Familiarity with time series models – an advantage 

• Experience with SQL and Airflow – an advantage

Additional Information

You’ll be joining the Financial Forecasting team within Wix’s Data Science Group. In the group we develop advanced AI solutions that drive key decisions and product innovations across the company. Our group leads Wix’s AI research and implementation efforts, focused on enhancing user experiences, optimizing processes, and scaling personalization.

Our team owns the company’s revenue forecasting models, which play a critical role in Wix’s Annual and Quarterly earnings reports as well as ongoing business planning. We work hand-in-hand with analysts and company leadership to provide clear, data-driven insights and tools for scenario planning and identifying new growth opportunities.
