Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insights & AI Analyst to join our data team. The Insights & AI Analyst will be responsible for leveraging data to drive business decision-making, producing insightful reports, and creating engaging visualisations. As 1GLOBAL is embarking in the journey of deploying AI tools to support its day-to-day operations the Insights & AI Analyst will work closely with our Data Architects and AI specialists from our technology teams to ensure that our AI models are feed with high quality data and that meaningful conclusions can be derived from them. This role requires a combination of analytical thinking and a strong ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable format. The Insights & AI Analyst, reporting to the Finance Director, will work with multiple teams within the company, turning raw data into meaningful insights to support key business objectives and monitor the effectiveness of our go-to-market strategies as well as driving our AI models.

Key Responsibilities

Data Querying, Predictive and Statistical Analysis

• Query large datasets to extract meaningful insights, using tools such as SQL, Python, R, BigQuery, dbt, and business intelligence platforms.
• Analyse and derive insight from large datasets from telecom systems, including customer usage, network performance, billing, and service data.
• Apply predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to analyse customer behaviour, such as, identifying potential churn risks, and suggesting retention strategies.
  

Reporting & Visualisation

• Create compelling, visual dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Domo, Looker) to communicate insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Present complex findings in a user-friendly and visually engaging manner.
  

Business Insights & Strategy Support:

• Engage with internal stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and translate those into analytical projects.
• Support the development of business strategies by analysing data on customer behaviour, network and wholesale trends, and operational performance.
• Support our commercial and sales teams to optimise pricing and commercial strategy to maximise revenue, gross profit and win rates.
  

Data Handling and AI:

• Work closely with the data team to ensure that data is properly cleaned and structured, while also having the autonomy to adjust data for analysis purposes when needed.
• Be a champion for AI within the business by bringing knowledge of recent and relevant AI tools that can be used to generate insight and create operational efficiencies.
• Work closely with our data architects and AI experts from our engineering team to introduce AI in the day-to-day operations of the business.
  

Requirements

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and statistical models.
• Experience with LLMs..
• High SQL & Excel proficiency, understanding of data lineage and quality.
• Substantial experience with Looker/Tableau or similar, Data Tooling (BigQuery, dbt), Excel/GoogleSheets and Salesforce.​
• Effective stakeholder management & communication skills to engage cross-functional team and senior leadership.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
• A passion for optimising and automating. ​
