Role profile 

This is a role in LSEG’s Group Travel and Administration Team.  The aim of the role is to provide technical support in the Global Travel and Administration team to analyse travel-related data to optimize costs, enhance traveller experience, and improve operational efficiency. This role involves leveraging data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools to provide insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.

This position will also involve collaboration with various stakeholders of the business & travel related suppliers globally to provide travel analytics, travel reports, and create travel dashboards for group senior management.

The role requires an experienced, calm professional with experience in data analytics in the corporate travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret travel data from different sources (booking systems, supplier data, Internal trackers and reports, etc.).
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, traveller behaviour patterns, and policy alignment issues
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations travel spend, trends, and compliance with minimal supervision.
  • Use predictive analytics and machine learning models to forecast travel trends and demands.
  • Assist with key travel partners to ensure travel requirements are understood and met aligned to the LSEG Travel & Expense Policy and Guidelines
  • Continuously and actively supervising geo-political situations that may affect travellers.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge of all systems and processes performed by the team, knowing the latest with business travel industry.
  • Applies the Global Travel & Expense Policy Guidelines in order to ensure compliance and mitigate policy breaches!
  • Support end to end functions on platforms such as Concur including configuration updates, regular testing and solve.
  • Handle routine and complex end user issues and queries regarding travel booking systems with moderate supervision
  • Lead travel payments, invoice elated queries, cost and credit card reconciliation and daily administration duties related to travel.
  • excellent working relationships with the business at all levels of the organisation.
  • Handles basic end user issues and queries regarding travel booking systems
  • Develops knowledge articles and process documents on travel and admin related standard methodologies
  • Collaborate as a great teammate toward achieving the functional SLAs and critical metrics as well as racking and recording of Travel and Admin Key Perfomance Indicators on a monthly basis.
  • Delivery of a high quality and professional travel service to Group ExCo, Group Leader, and other VVIP travel requests, mainly handling Group and divisional travel reports
  • May need to take care of any in trip issues the traveller and VIPs may encounter, during a trip, such as itinerary changes and extensions to travel if needed.

Additionally:
  • Cultivate business relationships, partnerships and alliances internally, externally and virtually with internal as well as external partners.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as may be required including sickness and holiday cover of peers where required.
  • Flexibility in 24 hr shift rotations, availability for weekend “ON CALL” and dedication to work hours as required.
  • Flexibility, discretion, and ability to always respect confidentiality.

Candidate Background:
  • 3 -5 years’ experience in system development and or working with web development platforms in an in-house corporate travel function and or corporate travel agency, international Airline or international hotel group
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Experience of a financial services company or other fast paced organisation.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Service Now and qualified as ITIL system Technician

  • Shows strength with Microsoft® and other company supported applications, applying templates and standards to produce elements and incorporate them into presentations.
  • Highly skilled in identifying and acting on opportunities to improve methods and solutions via Continuous Improvements
  • Time management, prioritisation, ability to work under stress during peak periods and deliver to tight deadlines involving other partners.
  • Ability to assimilate information and identify the pertinent points quickly and effective decision making!
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python.
  • Understanding of corporate travel policies, and supplier negotiations.
  • Proficiency in analysing complex datasets to extract important insights and trends. Ability to interpret data and communicate findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Ensures the efficient execution of tasks whilst delivering high quality outputs.
  • Ability to identify possible risks, problems and threats before they occur and then taking steps to combat the potential risk.
  • Outstanding proficiency in both written and spoken English, along with experience in effective communication and interaction with partners at all levels.
  • Ability to develop a broad, big-picture view of the organisation and it’s mission to innovate through analysis of issues and trends and translate data insights into actionable recommendations
  • Assists in the creation and documentation of incident, problem, or change reports. Possesses knowledge of data security practices and compliance standards to safeguard critical booking information.
  • Capable in creating in automation algorithms and working with AI insights
  • Ensuring accuracy and precision in data and communicate analytical findings in a clear concise manner, using visual aids and reports
  • Ability to collect, analyse data and interpret data or draw actionable insights.
  • Evaluating sophisticated information to identify patterns, discrepancies, and underlying issues and focus on creating possibilities over cross-platforms.
  • Predicting future trends based on historical data analysis.
