Knowledge Graph Engineer – Connected Insights

Accountabilities:
As a Knowledge Graph Engineer, you will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our Competitive Intelligence Knowledge Graph (CIKG). Reporting to the Head of Connected Insights, you'll leverage your expertise in Labelled Property Graph (LPG) technologies to explore novel applications for CIKG across various business groups. Collaborate with other engineering teams within AstraZeneca to tackle sophisticated problems and drive innovation in competitive intelligence.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Validated experience as a Knowledge Engineer or a similar role, with a strong focus on LPG and data engineering.
- Deep understanding of LPG concepts, technologies, and best practices in heterogeneous datasets and documented knowledge of technologies for the creation and storage of knowledge graphs (Neo4j, Neptune, or similar).
- Proficient in tools and technologies, such as Python, SQL, Spark, and ETL frameworks.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Designing, developing, and deploying customized and scalable knowledge graph solutions or products with emphasis on graph data modeling, graph traversal, graph theory, and graph analytics or graph AI.
- Deep knowledge in Graph Query Languages (Cypher, Gremlin, or any other major GQL).

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience with developing LLM models on top of knowledge graphs.
- Knowledge Representation and Semantic Technologies: Sound understanding of semantic modeling (OWL, RDF, etc.), data integration, knowledge graph design.
- Familiarity with software development practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and version control systems to effectively collaborate.
