What you'll be doing

As the Senior Consultant, Advanced Analytics, reporting to the Director, Advanced Analytics, Risk Insights and Monitoring, you will be a senior contributor for developing and delivering on the Advanced Analytics team’s technical solution strategies and commitment to develop, support, and continuously improve analytics capabilities through the delivery of data analytics services. You will be expected to lead the technical design and development of key analytics projects, and will assist the execution and delivery of advanced analytics strategy.

How you'll succeed

  • Leverage Advanced Analytics - Modeling, and statistical knowledge to design, implement, and deliver analytics engagements in support of Business Controls. Actively lead complex advanced analytics engagements to ensure quality, depth of analysis, and clearly communicated and insightful results.   

  • Provide Technical and Strategic Advice - Provide thought leadership to the Advanced Analytics team in planning, developing and executing enhanced data analysis to support all parts of the Business Controls function. Lead the Technical Solution Design and Development of new and ongoing projects using predictive/analytical algorithms and statistical data modeling tools to derive meaningful and actionable insights from data to support Business Controls activities. Develop technical templates and documentation standards to ensure all work products are standardized and effectively delivered. Continually improve sustainable internal methods, standards, processes, and practices for delivery of data management and data analytics services.

  • Design and Create Interactive Dashboards - Create dashboards to support visual analytics projects and create continuous monitoring and control testing programs, data profiles and KPI/KRI dashboards.

  • Relationship Management - Work with internal stakeholders to develop best practice in data infrastructure to enable new analytics. Generate statistical outputs and translate into business context for presentation and discussion with stakeholders. Collaborate with other consultants and leaders in the CIBC analytics community to identify and realize points of integration to deliver coordinated analytics services.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. 5+ years of experience in data analytics, quantitative modeling, AI/Machine Learning/Natural Language Processing, BI and statistical analysis. Experience using advanced analytical, data management, and visualization tools such as SAS, Tableau, PowerBI, Python, R, and/or SQL, etc. Knowledge of CIBC data sources, applications and system platforms is a benefit.

  • You have a degree. In Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance and/or related field.
