As a Data Engineer, you build, manage and optimize data pipelines from multiple sources like SAP S/4 HANA or MS Dynamics to ensure seamless and efficient workflows. You design and maintain secure, scalable data systems while monitoring daily operations and resolving data-related issues promptly. Additionally, you fine-tune database performance, maintain comprehensive documentation, and collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to meet their data requirements. Your ultimate goal is to provide reliable datasets that empower business and analytical insights.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and maintain secure and governed data models within the data platform.
  • Monitor and optimize data operations for performance, scalability and reliability.
  • Apply CI/CD and DevOps practices for automated deployment and data pipeline lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose datasets.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives related to data governance, data quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (Master’s degree will be a plus).
  • 2-4 years of experience in Data Engineering or related role. Internships and academic projects may be considered.
  • Very good knowledge of SQL, Python and data modeling techniques.
  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms - ideally Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI
