Department Profile:

Professionals within the Legal and Compliance Division (LCD) provide a wide range of services to our business units. They preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.

The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Department forms the second line of defense for management of the firm's non-financial risks, which include Financial Crimes, market manipulation or abuse and Operational risk.

Position Description:

You will join a Data and Analytics team who is responsible for establishing strong data governance, building and leveraging data analytics and executing on our data centric strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

> Drive implementation of formal data governance practices by working closely with business and technology teams and managing book of work related to prioritized data initiatives
> Track remediation of data-related issues across the Division
> Represent LCD in firm-wide data working groups
> Provide guidance to key stakeholders on how to adopt data governance best practices
> Enhance Program processes where opportunities exist
> Perform analysis and support strategic projects that add value to the LCD Divisional Data Office and the internal clients it supports Required Skills:
> Bachelor's degree in a related field.
> 2 years of experience in a data-related role.
> Good written and oral communication skills.
> Ability to work with global, cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:
> Direct experience in the financial services industry.
> Strong understanding of data governance and issue management.
> Familiarity with mainstream data processing and modeling programming languages (Python preferred).
> Experience in the categorization and use of business data in support of business processes.
> Knowledge of semantic technologies, SKOS modeling, and experience using SPARQL
