Job Description:

Position Description: 

Develops enterprise data warehouse and reporting platforms using Oracle SQL and Amazon Web Services (AWS) -- S3, Aurora PostgresSQL, and Lambda. Migrates legacy on-premise databases to AWS Aurora PostgresSQL and Snowflake databases. Develops orchestration processes using Control-M or Autosys platforms. Builds and deploys applications using Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines -- GitHub and Liquibase. Performs unit and integration testing using SQL queries or Python. Provides Extract Transform and Load (ETL) solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. Develops reporting platforms using Business Objects, Tableau, or PowerBI. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.  

• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.  

• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.  

• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. 

• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. 

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.  

• Responsible for post-installation validation and triaging of any issues. 

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. 

• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. 

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing data warehouse and reporting platforms using SQL and AWS. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing data warehouse and reporting platforms using SQL and AWS. 

Skills and Knowledge: 

Candidate must also possess: 

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing data modelling, and designing and developing data warehouses for enterprise or financial services using Informatica Power Center and Oracle; performing Information Technology (IT) product development using AWS S3, EMR, Pyspark, Redshift, Dynamo DB, Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda, and Step functions; and designing, developing, implementing, and testing (quality control) frameworks for unit, integration, and smoke testing using Python in an Agile environment. 

• DE deploying databases and applications through established Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins. 

• DE designing and developing reporting and data analytic dashboards in an Agile environment, using Business Objects and Tableau. 

• DE designing and developing orchestration process for ETL frameworks using orchestrator tools –Autosys, TWS Maestro, and Control M.
